Dale Savage – Charleston Criminal Defense Attorney, South Carolina

Criminal defense is all I do and I do it well. Unlike other law firms, I do not practice in multiple areas like personal injury or family law. Because of this, 100% of my time is dedicated to criminal defense. I have been practicing criminal law for over fifteen years which started in 2007 where I was an Assistant Solicitor at the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Charleston County for five years. During that time I prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from DUI’s, drug and firearm offenses, to violent felonies such as murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, bank robbery, drug trafficking, and burglary.

I gained significant trial experience with more than twenty (20) felony jury trials.  During my tenure, I tried more cases than any other prosecutor in the office.  I worked side-by-side with Solicitor Scarlett Wilson on two high profile cases.  The first involved a Charleston County Sheriff’s Deputy shot multiple times in the line of duty and the second was the home invasions committed by two former Citadel football players and two College of Charleston students.  Media/News

To get you the best possible result in your case, it’s vital that all of the available resources are used to provide the best possible defense. That can mean employing independent investigators, drug or alcohol counseling (if needed), alibi defenses, challenging unlawful search and/or seizures or other options that don’t result in a conviction.

Due to my extensive trial work, I was selected by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer for Criminal Trials in the state of South Carolina and have a 10.0 Superb rating by AVVO, as well as being recognized as a Super Lawyer.  This is an invitation only organization that recognizes attorneys that exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership in their respective state.

I graduated from the College of Charleston (B.A. Economics, 2001) and earned my law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in California (J.D., 2004).
